In the spirit of the holidays and the other "Christmas Gift" thread...I decided to change the question a bit...

What is the WORST Christmas gift you have ever received?

I got a set of Venus razors (women's razors) from my grandma a few years ago. When I asked her why she got me women's razors she said, "because they were on sale. I wasn't going to pay no $25 for no razors!!"

A oatmeal bowl that changed color in the microwave. Yeah it sucked.

I once had an aunt ask me to look through a couple coupons and see if I liked any of it for Christmas gift.

When I was 16, my Aunt gave me a turtle puzzle. It looked like the pic below, except mine had 6 pcs, lol. :eek:hwell:

The whole night she kept saying..."What's wrong Jeff? You don't like your puzzle? Your not playing with it?". I was like, uhhh, ya, it's great, I'll work on it when I have more time. :headknock

This is funny but not really.

My aunt, moms sister, was born with what doctors today would probably call global development problems due to a lack of air at child birth, she is mentally retarded. Anyway the doctors said she wouldn't live past 9 years old and has lived in state institutions and group homes for the better part of her life, I think she turns 50 this year and takes regular trips on cruises and goes to Vegas through money she earns at a job that is set up for her.

So I think I was 15 or 16 at the time and she sent me a toddler toy for Christmas. It was a miniature looking computer with a few buttons on it and screen moved. Anyway went I first got it I asked my mom about it and she said oh don't worry they probably put your gift in the box, not.

I have 2 that might qualify as the worst - you decide...

1. A banana, apple, and orange in a brown sandwich bag from my aunt. She gave one of my cousin's a 25ft seine and the other a red-ryder bb gun 2 minutes later (***?)...

2. Since I was about 8yrs old until about 12 I always wanted a remote controlled car (the $20 from wally world (K-mart or TG&Y in my day), not one of the big time ones like on the RC forum here...I finally got it from my mom - when I was 35 (***?). Still luv ya mom!

All I know that as the only grand daughter my sister used to make out like a bandit come the holidays and when my cousin came along 11 years after the fact she got cut off cold turkey. It was actually kind of funny to watch.

Ah, the proverbial fruitcake. I was wondering how long it would take somebody to fess up to getting one of those jewels, :cop:.
And a reloader book with no reloader? ***?

When I was a kid underwear and socks were a given for Christmas. We always got some other gifts, but I always dreaded the inevitable package with the underwear. Looking back on it and considering how little we had, it probably was a better gift than I thought......

I got this a lot too, so when I went to college I asked for 30 identical pairs of sox for Christmas every year, one for every day of the month- I hate matching sox when doing laundry - so I throw away the whole years worth every year and never have to worry about wearing sox that don't match!!

It worked one year - and every year since then I get about 10 pairs of sox that don't match!

I get clothes because kids are growing so quick, well I did.

But the clothes have to be "cool" to the kids, no dress shirts and stuff like that.

Now I'm always down with getting a Columbia shirt or some fishing pants for Christmas.
