I grew up in Georgia where people own "a country place", a cabin on the "backwaters" which was a home, regardless of size and finish, or a"farm" which was bigger than a "country place" and grew some type of crops from timber to vegetables, to crops to feed cattle/horses, or to sell. For example, my Father had 800 acres in South Georgia on which he had cattle by in reality was cultivated for bobwhite quail hunting.
Now, I have lived in Texas for nearly 30 years and hear people describe a piece of property as small as 50 acres as their ranch which seems way too small to be a ranch but I guess a ranch is in the eye of the beholder. What do you think constitutes a ranch?
