Swordfish recapture! We just received word from our colleagues in Spain that a one of our tagged swordfish was recaptured! It was originally tagged off of Palm Beach, Florida by Mat Bierley aboard Moonshine with Capt. Mike Pagano on October
21, 2011. It was recaptured on June 4 2012, 600 miles west of the Azores. That means that this little guy of 40 inches traveled close to 2500 miles in 7 months and 15 days!

Wow! Thats neat! That is one heck of a migration. 600 West of the Azores he was out in the middle of nowhere! Was it caught on a long line boat?

neat! one of my marlin i tagged in kona was re caught off of Australia a year later...she was a big un pushing 700pounds..
