Hyperman (Captain fred) back from a long time off the boards, feeling healthier, and back to tuna fishing. I have a part time job managing tuna trip bookings with help from staff, ust poeting some recent news and the upcoming schedule:
Jan 10/2025, light load 60 hour trip, still need 6 more to make it a go.
Till jan 3 i am offering 10% off on the 1/24 trip, that booking needs to go through me to get the discount, it was posted at other sites as a christmas present from FW. (contact:
Bookings must go through me, email, message, facebook, text, leave a voicemail. i will call you back. I'll need name, email, cell, then when you get the confirmation email i will have taken the 10% off so you can pay by calling the office.

Are these trips designed for folks with all of their own gear?

 

Yes they are. You'll need a cooler for 3 days of eats and drinks. A sleeping bag or sheets for your comfy bunk too.

It helps to have a pocket full of $20's. And stand close at all times. You might get a limit

 

I did one of these trips to Perdido rig with my son, 12 years ago on ScatCat back when it was $723 per man, and we limited out on YF's and a few blackies. Was the trip of a lifetime. You got to remember that the weather is everything. If you get 6 foot seas, you are screwed. But on our trip it was warm, calm, and 1 foot seas, like heaven.
