Saros F Handle Knob

Will the handle knob on a Saros 2500F come off to accept the larger knob from a 3000F? It looks like it will, but I don't want to start trying to pry off the little plastic cap unless I know for sure.

The post for the 3000 handle is longer and will not work on the 2500. You have to swap the entire handle. The knobs do come off, but 2500/3000 do not interchange.

Thanks. Not what I wanted to hear though. Looks like that handle assembly goes for over $60! I think I'll just stick with the original.
