Anyone ever rented a car hauler trailer before? We need to haul or hunting Suburban back down to the lease. Where in Houston can we rent one and for how much?

It has airplane tires on it, so it cant be dollied..the tires arent supposed to go over 55 on pavement or the cap could come off. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Trailer wheel and frame on 45 just north of town rents them. It was $150 per day when I was renting a few years back. I have the ability to haul it PM me if your interested, my trailer is 42' long so if you need anything else to go.

There is a thread on the tires on here. They are airplane tires that are re-capped with all terrain tread. They are glued on. If they heat up too much, the cap may come off, but they are great tires in the brush and cactus!

Just wait and glue the tread on when you get there and then you won't have to worry with them coming unglued twixt here and there. :D

Or get you a set of travel wheels to haul it back and forth and leave the purpose tires at the lease year round.

Uhaul website will let you plug in all the variables and then say yes or no to renting you a trailer. 2 days was about $120 but I got a $50 discount because I picked an 8 AM pickup time and the shop wasn't ready. On time guarantee. LOL I used one to haul my corvette from out of town. I am not sure a suburban will fit on one or not, it might. They are solid trailers.

EDIT: here, I did your homework with some guesses on your vehicles.. says it can work...

Thanks IJ....for some reason I kept getting $350 to rent when I went to the u haul website...but that was for one way only. Looks like its going to be 54.95 a day after I called them..
