Loaded four reels with power pro line(40lb test 10lb eq. dia.),getting ready to get mad at some trout. Do any of you have any experience with this line and how do you like or dislike the line?

great stuff.....lasts way longer than mono, IMO......plus when you get ready to change the line....go reel to reel.....and you have brand new line on the outside....can't be beat, again IMO

It's all I use, my absolute favorite. So soft, and such a lack of memory, that even a regular backlash can be immediately picked out. I use the 30 lb test/8 lb diameter. Very sensitive. All I have it on is baitcasters; EJ and some others have related that Power Pro on a spinning rig that is used by novices can be problematic, so you may keep that in mind. Personally I tie a small Spro swivel on the end and don't even mess with it for a year, only changing out the Flouro leader every time I need to. I doubt I'll ever go back to Mono.

Best to carry some Fiskar's scissors or scissors that come with high quality Leatherman's, it is tough to cut.

Good stuff there man. I use power pro and spiderwire stealth...its all good. Just get the line spooled on tight! Ive fished 10,20,30,65# braided lines and no break offs yet!

I got cheap a little while back and tried out mono again...didnt work out. Felt like I was fishing with a rubberband. All braid for light tackle:biggrin:

Power Pro Line

Thanks for the response, I think I will enjoy the power pro line while fishing. When I bass fished many years ago I used a braided line that was very effective except it would dig in to the spool of line and make it hard to cast and also back lash often. I know the line is very sensitive to strikes. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

Powerpro rocks

I use it on baitcasting and spinning. The line is limp and has no memory so it does not coil off on the spinning reels like some mono can. The only draw back that I have seen is that it is much harder to cut so if you are wading be sure to carry some good cutters with you if you need to cut it. Other than that it is all I use.

I use a lot of power pro on both my inshore and bottom rigs. I find the mono backing and keeping it tight make a big difference in how it performs. It is a lot of fun to catch kingfish on redfish rods offshore with it. You just have to remember to back off the drag if the mono backing begins to show or it will cut in two when the knot comes off the rod tip.
