In the last six weeks I have snapped 3 power pole spikes. Two along the ICW and one in the bay. All were set in clay bottom. Power Pole just keeps sending me spikes.

Anyone else ever snap theirs?

My first one (8' white) lasted 5 years. It's replacement (white) lasted 2 years.
The replacement (black) I put on 3 weeks ago, snapped the 4th time I put it down.

Positive shout-out to Premier Yamaha, where I purchased my rig. They honored Power Pole's lifetime warranty with no questions asked.

I have had both knuckles snap on the same day. I lost the spike on one and was able to save the other. Recently, I had one knuckle and one spike snap right below the knuckle.
Power Pole has been the best as far as warranty is concerned. I made one call and everything I needed was shipped to me within 3 days. They stand behind their product.

Just a warning to be careful when dealing with the fiberglass in the spikes. After some sun exposure degrades the surface finish, zillions of small fiberglass slivers will leave huge red patches on any skin that rubs up against the pole.

I found out that duct tape would remove most of the splinters from my arm, which are really too small and way too numerous to pull one at a time.

I put a coat of spar varnish over the spike to see if that would work at least for awhile.

A couple of weeks ago, I was fishing with a friend. He has a small boat with the mini power pole. We arrived a destination and looked back and no pole. It came out of the motor assembly. He called power pole and they sent him a new pole. Great customer service. What would cause the pole to come out of its assembly?
