Joe Prado is awesome. I'd say Watkins or Joe. (956) 357-1301. Joe grew up there and has been killing it in the big trout category the last couple seasons. He actually Tied for first in Foreverlast's Big Trout online tournament - Trophy Chasers. Nathan Beabout is good in the winter as well.

The last time I fished with Watkins was he said there was a three year wait to book in Mansfield with him.

 

If you don't have any luck with the Watkins, which I expect you won't due to lack of available dates, I'd give Colton Blackwell a call. His name is mentioned above for Upper Laguna/Baffin, but he does in fact split his time between UL & Port Mansfield.

Nathan Beabout is a solid guy and catches solid fish down there in the winter.

 

For what you want to do and to be able to do it this year Prado is your guy. Know him personally and he puts clients on big trout very consistently, fishes almost 275 days a year down there and as others have said he has grown up on those waters. His uncle is no slouch either. PM me if you need his number.

 

Wanting to fish bait or lure? I know most of the guides other there the Reynolds are awesome. Joe pardo, Jeff and Danny are both a great time and all ways on fish. Charlie is great as well.

 

Arti only...I'd rather not fish than deal with live bait.

 

Brett Sweeny will be guiding trophy trout trips in Port Mansfield this winter too. Another good option to add to all the other already mentioned good options.
