I'm leaving on a weekend dove hunt but I thought I would leave ya'll with this.
There are some fairly ingenious user names on here and I was just curious.

My bride gave me mine on her blog, Live From the Guillotine(some kind of dark humor from "A Tale of Two Cities", I guess). She gave all our family new names(names were changed to protect the innocent?) All the kids' names started with a "V" until my youngest son "Victory" put on a dancing clinic at a wedding when the was 8 and earned the moniker "Willard"(the goofy guy in "Footloose").

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Have a good cool weekend, G

Mine is from my home brewing days. Folks all called me Brew Daddy or Brewman. I was too lazy to type all that so it got shortened to just Brew. I've thought abnout changing it since I quit drinking but figured after all these years I'd just leave it alone although now when I join a new site I sign up as ChefJeff.

Handle

It took me a while to think of mine.:)

I was never fond of making up a nickname for myself. So I use my real name. If I ever get 'glossed' I might change it. I had several nicknames in my sporting days, but nobody here kows anything about that, so it would be silly (to me anyways).

I got mine on the deer lease. There were 20 of us on a lease in Mason, Tx. I sighted in most of the guns for the guys who thought drinking beer was more important than making a good clean shot. The two years I hunted this lease, no one missed a shot. I also made a lot of money shooting against the others after there drinking sessions. You know how that goes, get a little booze in ya and you can out do all the other guys, no problem.

Have a good one, Shooter

Name is self-explanatory but a little misleading. I haven't surfed in decades and never was good at it. But I do love to fish the surf. Piers, jettys, boats and company are okay but I really like just being on the beach alone wondering whats going to hit the rod next.

I Flatout can't remember. Think it has to do with my love of wade or driftfishing the flats of the Corpus/ South Texas area. Grew up doing it and still love the competition between me and "The Oldman" when we get together hence the outFishin part. Or it could be it just sounded good at the time!!!

With two kids in college, I think I'll change it to FlatoutBroke or FlatoutWorkin!

My boat's name.

There is an area offshore of San Francisco, around the Farallon Islands, known for shark attacks. It's called the "red triangle". When we first got the boat, we did more diving than fishing. Alot of people ask me about the name and logo that I have on the boat, but when divers who are "in the know" see it, you can tell by the look on their faces. They dont ask.

Handle

I kinda goofed up on mine. I thought I was typing in HullaPopper (my go to topwater lure when I was a kid fishing on my grandfather's lake). Accidently hit the h instead of the p! Oh well, at least it's original LOL!

I got mine a few years back after spending several days alone on a boat stuck in the sand at Port Mansfield. Had to sit it out until additional equipment and the tide came back in, made for an interesting adventure to say the least.
By the time I got back home my dad came up with the name and it quickly got around in my fishing circle. I kinda liked it since the ebbed tide is my favorite time to pursue tailing reds. The words were clumped together in sentence, so that is how I spell it.

The name my friend and I have been tried to think of a name for the boat, so had to ask Sam from Allen Landings which name will suit. He asked everyone and they suggested Silent Abyss. Silent shows that I'm kind of quiet and couldn't hear at all and the last word Abyss represent that I tend to get farther when I go fishing.. So we decided to name on my boat.. So now two words into one word is Silabyss...
