How did the marina hold up?

Freeport Marina, the one behind the hurricane gate in downtown Freeport, Texas and near the Port of Freeport, sustained very minor damage. The dry stack building did very well. The storm gate kept the storm surge out as intended. We did sustain a little damage to one of the dock ramps but all in all, we're all good.

We will be back open as soon as we have power.

Nope, I don't think I misidentified anything. You are right across from Bridge Bait on the Surfside side of the bridge. Big dry stack. A manager who refuses to call people back or do what he said, and a ramrod who lies about what boats need to be repaired, like telling people they need a new battery when it's less than a month old, overcharging for a warranty repair, telling me to pay it and I'll get my money back when the warranty comes through, then refusing to refund me, charging me $1200 for a steering cable replacement, then the steering froze after 4 months. Took it to another mechanic and they found that the cable tube was not even cleaned prior to installing the new cable. All together I lost almost 2 grand to the lying and incompetence, parts changing instead of real wrenching, and all around dishonesty.

I've been telling everyone about this since it happened, and I hope I've hurt the business. To add to everything, y'all jerked around my old high school coach, lied to him about what needed to be repaired (battery again!), and y'all even FORGOT you had his boat or where it was after ignoring him for almost 6 months. He finally got his boat back and nothing had been repaired correctly. I've called and been lied to over a dozen times, I've emailed and got Mercury involved. They told me y'all didn't even have a Mercury certified mechanic at the time, which makes sense given how things went. In the end, I was told I was SOL. Your business is full of liars and thieves. If I was Mr. Moneybags, maybe I would have been treated better. I'm a not so well to do teacher who just needed his boat fixed. I was preyed upon with broken promises and outright lies and thievery. Nobody was interested in making anything right at the time. So I vowed to make what happened to me known to all at every opportunity. Hopefully by bilking me and my old coach out of over $4k, you've lost a whole lot more. Dishonesty and shoddy workmanship should never be rewarded.

So I read your dm response to me and I get why you're angry but I do think you're mistaken. I only started storing my boat at freeport marina this year and have only seen positive things.

The marina across from bridge bait is Surfside Marina not Freeport Marina

Well, It looks like I was indeed mistaken. Surfside Marina is the bad place with bad people. Not Freeport. My apologies to all involved. I do indeed have an axe to grind, but this was the wrong grindstone. If you need me to post apologies anywhere else, just let me know.

Thanks for the clarification. I usually put in at Matagorda as they have a great ramp. I have been struggling to find a good ramp in Freeport. Bridge Bait folks were very nice, but I need a steeper ramp. No real issues with SS myself but they were steep in price for just about everything. I do all my own work on the boat, sorry to hear you got taken advantage of anywhere.
