Covering for trolling motor wires

I'm trying to find the best solution to cover the wires running from my trolling motor to the plug on the bow. It's a used bay boat I've had a few years now, and there's still remnants of the PET sleeve that used to be there so was naturally thinking of replacing with that. Now wondering if there may be a better option that's more tolerant to the sun and saltwater, and one more sturdy in general (and that won't catch hooks as well).

Any other solution someone has found? I was thinking of possibly a rubber hose of some sort, but would appreciate others thoughts more seasoned on bay boats.

Partially for looks and part for ease of access. There's been times things have tried to get hung up between them, and it would also help if there wasn't so much extra wire...

I hadn't thought about a conduit, although I'm not sure how much new wire may cost. May be a little more expensive but may be the better option. Attached is the only pic I have that shows it.
