Me and a Buddy plan on hunting the colorado river, he has land on it. Has anyone hunted it or have any experiance to hunting the river? Is there any birds on it?

My buddy also has a place just outside of La Grange and we've done some duck hunting there too. You'll see plenty of wood ducks and teal, maybe a mallard or two. Unless you have a dead spot where the river pools up for the birds to decoy into, you'll need to be ready, they'll be flying like bats out of hell up and down the river bottom.
