What happens to Mg's in Saltwater

I've had my 50MG for about a year and a half. I've dunked it (accidently of course) a couple of times. It's been saltwater fishing more times than I can remember. It is rinsed with fresh water after EACH use. I have had no problems with corrosion, or any other issues (KNOCK ON WOOD).


Common sense maintenance.

I love mine. Would buy another in a heartbeat, but my backup is my ol' green Curado.

What happens to Mg's in Saltwater when people don't clean their reels after dunking them.

Fixed.

 

I bet it will not be long before the MG reels have a warranty void about the saltwater.
