Been looking at both and just wondering what ya'll think .... is the pathfinder really worth the extra money over the bluewave .... they seem very similar to me ... Thanks

Little Biased as well with my handle. Truly loved the BlackJack. Bill Kenner spent a lot of time on the design and it shows throughout. Fit and finish, felt comfortable in most all water conditions. One of the smoothest rides in a bay boat.
Used to be more Pathfinders in Rockport Key Allegre than any other boat. They are light, and fast.
Blue Wave has certainly come a long ways in the boat building business. Wouldnt give them a second look years ago, but have moved up in regards.

List is in order of price point as well if that helps.

I am biased also, have had Mako's Kenner and now own one of the best built boats I have ever owned a 22' Pathy with T top. Fish Baffin, West Bay and some short offshore on a good day. It is smooth and dry, lots of storage, wish I had a Yammy 250 I have a Yammy 150 but it does around 46 kts, which in most conditions is faster than you are going to be able to stand anyway. I went to the Houston Boat Show, looked at new PF, not enough change to make me buy a new one. But I will say the 24' Blue Wave is sure tempting with a 300 hp on it. Nothing like new toys. At the end of the day my PF is a lot of boat, and will always hold its value. **** now I am thinking about that 24' Blue Wave with the see through bait well and hard top. Got to quit looking at 2cool.

If it's your 1st boat buy used and cheap. It takes time to learn the bay system you're going to fish as well as simple things like loading and unloading the boat, pulling up to a dock, etc.... make your mistakes in less expensive boat and then once you're confident upgrade to your dream boat. Also, if this is your first boat what you think is your dream now will change depending on how and where you fish. I was soooooo happy to dump the 20' blue wave for a Majek Illusion. I never woudve thought I wanted an illusion when I first bought a boat. Just my 2 cents. Take it for what it's worth.
