If you have to ask, then you know it's not 13"...seriously, you know better than us.

If you ever have to wonder if it's 13" just let it go. You'll know instantly when they're over 13"

Trouthunter your right. I have let him walk twice in the last three years. I am just trying justify it to myself in case he walks out this year. Like I said before, he will probably be one that dies from old age. At least I will have some good pictures of him.
 
Yep. For 99 percent the rule is good. This is an exception. I seriously doubt he's thirteen. He's not outside the ears and the ears aren't alert.
We use same rule when measuring from the stand. Inside spread at least an inch outside of un-alerted ears or inside spread even with end of ears. Haven't got to test it many times though - we let most walk.

Bad deal though on this one - needs to go!
