Sincw this has been brought back around. Had RTIC softside fell apart within 6-7 months. I stopped at the store on 290 and was told pretty much pound sand.
@ weeks ago my Yeti Hopper 30 that is at least 7-8yrs old had zipper issues and the plastic around the zipper was flaking off. Called Yeti told them age and issue started a warranty claim 2 pics AND 2-3 emails later and I have a new Hopper 30 being delivered this week. RTIC can suck it.

I have also had trouble with the rtic soft cooler. This cooler has not been used much and always washed out and put in the closet in my house. I would expect any cooler to hold up better than this one. I have a few rtic coolers and all have been good except the soft sided.

I didn’t expect it to last forever, it didn’t rip. The glue failed, what is wrong with just using a great glue to begin with? People pay a lot of money for coolers today. They should expect things to last more than 4 years. I don’t abuse my equipment, I take care of it. It seems in a society that wants a smaller carbon footprint, manufacturers should make products that last longer. Today’s products are made to last a couple of years and then be thrown away, which just fills the dumps. Make American products great again!!!
Just re-glue it or put gorilla tape on it or be creative and fix it in your own way or send it to me and i will do that and keep or give the cooler to someone who just wants function. If you want a better guarantee then buy Yeti, they cost three times more cuz the cost of replacing a cooler for you rather be whining online than solving your own problem self is built in to the initial charge. That cooler did not cost that much

did anybody try the 3M 5200? I have the same cooler and the same failure. I like the cooler and I would rather repair than replace. It is great little cooler! I prefer Life Seal over 5200 so maybe I'll give that a go.

maybe a bit of that gorilla patch? Might be a bit ugly though. All this outrage over quality this and china that. I just think there shouldn't have been a seam there in the first place. the rest of the cooler is top notch. Maybe I'm just cheap, but I'm all about that repair culture!

Following…
My zipper completely comes off and the whole bottom fell out. I put some 3M spray glue (for car liners) but I may send it in as advised. Glue is holding decent and at 4-5 hrs old I guess I can’t complain but replacement would be nice

Hey Geoffrey you can have mine. It is a 2020 model. Super low mileage, Used it maybe 10 times. Paid a hundy for it on sale and has a customized top and a hitch in the zipper ;) Will sell to you for a six pack lol. Current retail $300 on sale now $150. No one is whining. While it is not under warranty, when everyone tries to buy local (corp office Katy and flagship store on Hempstead) you would expect at least a 20-30% code to buy a replacement. Nada. Customer service 101. Google reviews 1.7 out of 5.

I know this is an older thread, but I have two like this, both were free, so I don't care how it looks, as long as it works. The first one started coming apart at the zipper and I just stapled it, but now the top seal is coming apart and the lid just comes right off. I use these offshore so I have ZERO care how it looks, as long as it stays closed and keeps stuff cold, which it does.

I was thinking of trying the gorilla tape idea, or maybe even just trying hand stitching them. Anyone have any really crazy ideas?
