Anybody have a place there or know the area. Looking at place, wondering about the boat ramps and more importantly the livability in the area
Thanks

I don’t have a place there but I’m familiar with the area. They have a private boat ramp on the west side of 35 that nice along with a private gated fishing pier. They also have a community only swimming pool but it’s on the east side of highway 35. There’s 3 other public ramps in the area and another one on the south side of the 35 Copano bay bridge. And Pops is right down the street with the best burgers in Rockport in my opinion. You have to go into Rockport for groceries and such but it’s a 10 minute drive. I can’t speak to utilities, HOA, etc.

I dont own a place down there but have spent over 30 yrs in and around the area. It's a great place to own a property on the coast from a financial stand point but I will tell you from experience with not only myself but friends who live there that things will walk off if left out in sight and of any value so just keep that in mind.

There are parts of Holiday Beach that have been built or rebuilt since Harvey that are starting to pull the quality up. Before Harvey, I would have not wanted anything that wasn't on a canal. Most of the small houses away from the canals were pretty scant. Now there's some nice, though not opulent, places going up.

Might be a good investment opportunity.

Is the place on a canal?

My cousin has a place in Holliday Beach and ramps are decent and are gated with key card access like stated above. It's been a good community for him for past 25 years. He just made it his permanent residence this year and has a good group of friends in the neighborhood. There are plenty of full time residents for sure. I've got a weekend house in Copano Ridge and there are not public ramps. So must have a friend/neighbor with a ramp or have your own. Otherwise, it can make for a good boat ride to get back to your house. I like both areas, but Copano Ridge is closer to town and I like that.
