Dance Crabbing on Bolivar!

I posted this on TTMB but it should have been here.
Can anyone give me some locations to do some Crabbing on the Bolivar/Crystal beach side?? We are taking the kids down for our annual beach trip and want to get them on some crabs.
Thanks in advance!!!

Where are you going to be staying? I have taken my grandkids to the ICW bridge in High Island before and did pretty good. I also have access to a private lake that there might be some in it. Also where I keep my boat has a place that might produce some. I would have to find out if I can let you in there but I bet I can.

try anywhere you can access the ICWW or some cut or pass when there is a little tide moving.

Use fresh fish for bait. It is cleaner. Chicken works, but it is disgusting and greasy.

Will you forewarn your kids about the attitude of a crab, or will you let them learn thru experience? I think the latter is better, but (because) they ain't my kids.

Brew Crystal Beach

Bobby,
I don't think we will be going past Roll over if that far. However, access to a private lake would probably be worth the trip. It will be a day trip and hopefully I will get to do some surf fishing too. If you can help out that would be awsome.
Thanks!!

I will PM you my phone number. You can fish in this lake too. Just no boats with motors allowed on it. There is a small area where you can park and sit on the tailgate of your truck and fish if you want too. Or sit in lawn chairs. I will go down there and mow it today.
