The Reds were really biting today, I worked a long shoreline of mud & grass drifting where there had been a school of them hanging out in about a foot of water. To my surprise I had a lot of bites in off color streaks, I have read about it but its never worked for me until today. Only landed 1 trout, she was mixed in with all the reds I was targeting, I think she was confused. The bite died as soon as the wind layed down. I have never reeled in this many reds on a trip, at least 30, all from 18'' to 25''. I never want to fillet 3 of them again after fighting them like this all day. I was targeting reds, didn't want to keep the trout but she wasn't going to make it. Everything caught with Lil John XLs purple demon with white tails on a 3/16th jig head.

Plenty of water, the last few weeks were sketchy and you had to hit it just right but water is back up close to normal.
