Marlin fishing this week was slow just 7 on our boats, all week lots of wind and a cold front came thru slowed things down, best action at the Lighthouse and Los Arcos, most fish on live bait.
We caught and released: 1 marlin on Sunday, 3 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday and 1 on Thursday.
Dorado was ok this week, lot of very small fish, few nice ones on lures. Best action at Gray Rock and Westin Regina on the Sea of Cortez.
We caught: 3 on Sunday, 19 on Monday, 14 on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday,
Very slow due to high winds, couldn't really get out to the fish.
No reports this week on our boats.
Very good for sierras, few snapper and grouper at the Lighthouse to Rancho Migrino on cut bait.
Lots of people here in Cabo for New Year, now the wind has stopped and the crowds are going home, good time to pay us a visit.

From The Admirals Kitchen!
Baked Mahi Mahi
2 lbs mahi mahi (4 fillets)
1 lemon, juiced
1⁄4 teaspoon garlic salt
1⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup mayonnaise
1⁄4 cup white onion, finely chopped
1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. Rinse fish and put in a baking dish. Squeeze lemon juice on fish then sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper.
3. Mix mayonnaise and chopped onions and spread on fish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake at 425°F for 25 minutes.
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
8 cups diced seedless watermelon (1 pound)
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 3/4 cups blueberries
3/4 cup lightly packed fresh mint leaves, plus 8 sprigs for garnish
1 1/4 cups silver tequila
In a small saucepan, bring the water to a simmer with the sugar and stir over moderate heat until the sugar is dissolved, about 1 minute; let the sugar syrup cool.
In a blender, puree the watermelon until smooth. Set a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl and strain the watermelon juice, pressing gently on the solids to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the pulp.
In a large pitcher, combine the sugar syrup with the lime juice, blueberries and mint leaves. Using a wooden spoon, lightly muddle the blueberries and mint. Add the watermelon juice and tequila. Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
Pour the cocktail into tall ice-filled glasses. Garnish with the mint sprigs and serve.
BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs. You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report.
