Unspookable Redfish? Yes please!

Some mornings (if you're lucky) it's almost too easy. I was using a little crab fly that doesn't cast very well (kind of like a knuckleball) but it didn't matter, and I had my hands full.

Nice job of staying on them and not spooking them off!

I love chasing those reds. I’ve got friends that are trout snobs, but to me sight casting at reds is like hunting and fishing at the same time. Keep posting.

Thanks Prof.!, been on 'em w the 8wt. for the past 18 mos. Another approach entirely. Walked up on several just layin' still in the shallows this past Sunday afternoon. They ate the crab fly from a rods length away ....great fun! We had been "defending " ourselves earlier that morning with bait-casters and plastics as the marsh drained and school after school came at us in a favorite back lake...

Thanks, it's a GoPro Hero 5. It does great as long as I can keep water and slime off the lens. You can turn the power on when you get to a likely area and then just use voice commands to tell it when to start or stop recording. That sure beats reaching back to push buttons every time the fish are close.
