Updated Maps

Was in Rockport a few weeks back and noticed that most of the reefs on my Navionics app for Copano Bay didn’t really exist anymore from Harvey. Does anyone know where to find updated maps? I’m afraid of slamming into a reef unexpectedly not to mention finding decent places to fish.

I’m going to make a wild guess but a lot of the deep water reefs are gone due to over fishing from the commercial oyster industry.

Steve Grem is correct. it was primarily the drought and the predation due to oyster drills and disease that comes with the higher salinities. But either way.. lots of dead reef crests with tiny fragments of shell.. fish will still use them.

There are no updated maps for that area as far as oyster reefs are concerned. We are going to work on mapping that out but it's not something that gets done over the weekend.

It took us a year to map Galveston for Reef Recon

Got it...so you’re saying that you will provide an updated Copano map in the next year or so?
