Port Aransas announced yesterday beach will close to vehicles like over the 4th.
Rockport beach will close tonight and reopen August 1st.

Crazy thing I heard is with beach closed to vehicles they provided buses to transport people to the beach. How could someone think packing people onto a bus is better than letting them drive on beach in their own vehicle.

It doesn't make a lick of sense man, they're just "doing things" to make people "feel like we're doing things" and making the problem worse. Pedestrian traffic is still allowed, so everyone parking and walking into the same general area within walking distance, etc.

Wait, lol, so you're saying this virus is so bad we need to close the beaches and parks... but since there's weddings and funerals planned we'll allow those groups of people to gather and THEN close the beaches.

Are Padre Island national seashore beaches closed? Is Bird Island boat ramp still open? I looked at their website and didn’t see any mention of them closing. Thanks for any updates.
