Sabine Pass March 16th
Puttered around in the pass Monday from 9 to about 3. Strong incoming current with maybe two foot visibility. It stayed cloudy for most of the day.
Using live shrimp, we caught several sheepsheads, a couple of black drum (good eating size), an oversized 30"redfish, three stingrays, a throwback flounder, three croaker and a whiting. All on the bottom. Tried several different locations. Could see signs that the little menhaden or glass minnows were coming in. Spent a lot of time trying with a popping cork, but never got the first trout. Or anything else.
Overall a fun day out on the water with my wife and daughter
