To fish or not to fish tomorrow, that is the question!

I am an experienced wade angler with complete gear.

I typically fish POC but due to our first new born, the wife is only letting me loose for a few hours.

Looking to wade around Snake island tomorrow. Went there a couple weeks ago and boxed a few flatties.

Supposed to be cold, windy, and rainy.

Any opinions from those experienced in the area?

Tightlines!!

Always go when you can go.

Those are the conditions when you have the whole bay to yourself and catch a giant.

crabman is a Landlubber (+10 to -10)
Marine forecast is for 15-20 knots out of the north tomorrow. Not ideal but fishable. Find a sheltered shoreline and go for it.

With a newborn you may not get the opportunity again for a while.

With that being said, when they say 15-20 you can usually add those two numbers together!

Good Luck!

The OP left out a pertinent piece of information.

Being pretty much retired, I can fish any time I want. But, having stuff to do, I cannot fish as much as I want. So I pick my times to optimize my chances of catching fish.

Back when I was working all the time, I fished whenever I could get time off, regardless of conditions (within reason).

So, my question is... Is this a matter of tomorrow- or a better time, or tomorrow- take it or leave it?

LOL

That's awesome.

If it's your only chance for the month go... but be selective where you fish, and while you will of course fish a protected bank that's just one of the elements. Good luck to you.

tarpon ??

if you are young, and full of **** and vinegar, go have fun but be careful. if you are old and wise, wait for a better day, and go kill the fish. i like to move around and work it, don't like being confined to a protected shoreline, unless I have them caged up. I may be fishing 5 to 15 miles from where i start, when it's all said and done. Wear your PFD if you get out.

Ended up boxing one flounder today. Caught several small trout and a few sheepshead too!

All in all, a beautiful day on the water!!
