tarpon flounder explosion

seems the last four or five years the flounder population has exploded. i'm not a flounder fisherman, but seems to be tons of them being caught, and gigged, up and down the coast. is there any data to support this? my favorite eating bay fish bar none, (well maybe a fried puppy drum or golden croaker).

I was not fising for them but when a flounder its your lure every few casts it turns into a flounder trip! i am not sure of such data besides being on the water and reporting what i see!

Plenty out there regulation put in place starting to pay off. As much as I hate regulations give it a few years and there will plenty big trout! Our fishery is not near as bad as it was down south and they are rebounding nicely.
