Trout coming unbuttoned

Since I switched to Braid years ago I’ve been loosing so many trout. My friends tell me I have a Bill Dance hook set. I’ve changed the style of hooks i use but havent seen better results. I keep the rod at 10 o’clock and give her no slack. Almost like walking a god on a leash. This weekend we fished the Texas Trio. I missed 6 trout and landed one. I landed all my reds and flounder. The trout were all coming off right after the hook set. I was setting the hook lightly all day. When I used mono I landed most of the trout I hooked. Can’t figure it out. any suggestions?
