south shoreline lower west bay

fished 6:30-10:30. what difference a week makes. bull spring high water tide, huffin' SE 15-20 and fog. water was plenty fishable. no topwater action. hardly any bait. musta hiked 1/2mi. 4 bites 2 keeper trout to almost 18" on 1/4oz dsl and that's that

Did the same Saturday. Fish southern shore west bay and had one 20" red.

Thanks for the report, that's grinding for sure. It's a good thing grinding while wading the bay is it's on reward, not many people can reap it though.
Just those that always want to go fishing.

There are a lot of nice trout to be caught in the Sabine area right now. There are no secret times, baits or places either. Bone/Diamond TSLs if they're shallow, chartreuse DSLs if they're deep and Swimming Image cranks when they're on the rocks. The one caveat is that these fish are very concentrated when you find them and there isn't room for more than one boat on that spot. Fish hard, find them and stick on 'em.
