I run a stealth 19 1992 Hull or 94. I have those permanent stationary tabs on the back which don't move. 4 inches of water and I'm good. Is that what you are talking about?

19’ stealth. Never had tabs on it and it does just fine. 115 Etec with cavitation plate. Gets up quick and will run as skinny as I’m willing to go.

Take it a bit easy on turns. I’ve only swapped ends once but that will make you pucker. Great little hull for what I do.

Spun out before coming from Bastrop bay making a right into icw. Scary for sure. Also if you are overtaking a.boat their wake can get a little sketchy if the nose dips in. Pops right up but takes a little to get it right with jack plate and trim. Once you get that dialed in right it comes up quick. Even more if you motor in an S then pop up off of your wake. I would think trim tabs only help on these boats.

We've installed several sets on Shoalwater TV's and Explorer TV's. Last explorer customer had a 19' and went to cut into greens and it swapped ends throwing him and his passenger out of the boat. Luck he was wearing a kill lanyard.

Yes, 22' Shoalwater. No tabs when I first got it. Leaned sideways when you were running and would porpoise very easily w/o them. I ran it 2 or 3 times and took it back and had hydraulic trim tabs installed.

Trim Tabs

Ran an '03 19 with fixed trim tabs, great hull. Ran skinny but did take some water to jump up........... we installed transom wedges between the engine and jackplate which significantly helped it jump up on plane. While I have heard of the swapping ends issue, we ran it hard for 6 years and never had an issue.

If you don't already have some of these installed, they will solve most of the problem and not subject you to the trim tabs risking a swap if you happen to turn to sharp. At least this was my experience on an explorer 19 I ran for 15 yrs.
