lodge

Howdy,
I believe the new marina that DaFink is talking about is going to have a lodge similar to what Cypress Cove has (or had). It will be great to be able to have everyhting in one place; marina, lodge, gas/bait, etc.

All the best,
Tom

parrishabc,
Don't know of an exact spot to target dolphin. Best bet is to find you a good water color change line with a lot of weed, the more the better. Work the weed line, both sides, use lighter tackle and throw right on the edge of the larger patches of weed with jigs, squid, or you favorite dolphin baits. Once you hook up leave it in the water till you hook up with another then rotate bring them in. Always leave one in the water as the school of dolphin will stay with him. Sometimes you can darn near catch the whole school.
For the big dolphin you will be better off trolling feathered jigs, cigar minnows, Sardines, or your own secret bait up and down the weed lines at different depths.
Good Luck
PS. You might have a small to mid. size ribbonfish trolling off aways also, I have boated a many a 7'+ sailfish on those same weed lines. Also Ling!
And closer in towards the beach than you might think. Say @12miles

Biggrin

Cool Specialops! That is the same techniques we use on the east coast....weedlines occur only a few times a year in fl but stack the fish up. Same with color changes and rips.........looking forward to getting out there soon.

Thanks,

Al
