I sent you some phone numbers, Charter Lakes isn’t the slam dunk they used to be since XL stopped underwriting but they’re still competitive. I went a different route this year and will have them Shop my policy next year but The policy I have now is going to be hard to beat.

Do you know who he got a quote with? I ran a "quick" quote with Markel and came up with $2,800. Obviously, I didn't have all the correct information, but Markel is really, really competitive.

I dropped Charter as well. Been there for 5 years, although I only have a bay boat. Cut my cost.

Heck, 16k is a new boat in some situations, 16 k would be a deal breaker for me. I spend 550 a year on a 40k boat and have all the bells and whistles.

Read what I said first - that the quote was way, way too high.
But the point is that if spending an additional 12,000 a year or whatever every year on a new boat for some random expense is breaking your budget, you don’t need a new boat.
