Weighing a Trailer

The tax / title office is asking me to get my trailer (brought in from Lafayette) weighed. They do not accept a notarized certificate from the manufacturer!

It is stored in La Marque.

Anyone recommend a good facility close by?

Cat scale at a truck stop.

Recycling center sometimes has a big enough scale.

If you want it perfectly accurate unhook from tow vehicle all on one scale. Remember the registration $ goes by weight so you are paying for what you use in theory. So leaving it hooked up would take out the tongue weight.... $$
