RV Purchase Haggling
The wife and I are looking into buying a new Rv. This will be our first Rv that we've financed. Is there a good time of year to purchase a new Rv? Like cars, is it better to buy used or new? Is the advertised price, the bottom price? Or can you haggle for an even lower price? Like some car dealers, will they throw in "extras" at a discount or even for free? Anything else I should look for? Thanks. And as always, I appreciate your feedback.

Kodiak
When I bought mine, it was a 1 year used, 2 year old model. We talked them down over 10%, had them throw in the load hitch and all new brake controller. Crestview in Buda. Highly recommended. We went down the night before and slept in it before the pick up day. Found a problem with the heater. They installed a new heater the next morning. Had a problem with the door lock, they fixed that as well. Haggle Always Worst thing they can say is no, but you may get a deal out of it. I used RVTrader as my biggest negotiation tool, and then my wife went to work on them about the details. Sent from my E6810 using Tapatalk |

33% off MSRP seems the going price. Of course they just pull the MSRP number out their arse.

What if the Rv is last years model, or even a previous years model? Should I keep pushing for a lower price, in addition to the 33% off the msrp?

IMO I wouldn’t buy new if I were you. We bought ours in March right before the new ones hit the lot.
