2017 Z71 transmission dip stick location
Can someone tell me where the hell the dip stick is for the transmission on a 2017 Z71 5.3L? It is not where the manual says it is, Youtube has failed me as well. It should be on the left of the engine between condenser hoses and heater hoses, but it is not.

I looked at a newer Ford truck for a buddy of mine who was looking to purchase it. I went through the typical checks and did not find a transmission dip stick. I got online and there is a cap on the side of the transmission case you remove to check fluid level, much like you do with a small gasoline engine for the oil.

Like a differential? Fill to it comes out? I swapped a Ford auto transmission recently. You fill it from under the transmission. Weirdest thing. The design is what caused it to go. Guy didn't fill it right under filled. I think it just come down to less materials to do it this way. So instead of pulling a dipstick they make you climb under a car on jacks.... To save some $$. I don't see any other reason.
