Where to fish Tomorrow?

Headed to Galveston and was wanting to try and catch some bull reds maybe some trout if possible. Where would be the best place to try right now?

I can't claim to be an expert (don't have the catches to rate) but my understanding is the bulls are running and can be found in the surf, near passes, and the passes themselves. If you are land locked try the jetties, rock groins, piers, and surf. If you have access to a boat more of the jetty is open to you. Trout? I'd guess the bay systems, as during the fall time surf trout are harder to come by. Again a boat opens more options, but barring that The Galveston Yacht Club (if you have access), Sea Wolf Park (usually crowded, and I haven't been in years) come to mind. I hope others chime in with more advice for you.

They are calling a hard southwest wind, so the bay will be dirty and rough. I'd recommend the channel side of the south jetty or the gulf side of the north jetty. I'm not a jetty fisherman but close to the end is good. The boat cut is about a 1/3 of the way down the norht jetty. You can cross to the gulf side here and work your way towards the end. Viewing a bay map prior to going, will allow you to find protected areas close to where you are planning on fishing.
