Flounder Trip Today

Met up with my ole buddy Blackjack today and went after the Flounder. Fished from 10:30 - 2:00. Wind was honkin out out NE. So much for the forecasted 5-10 SE winds. Joined the armada around Seawolf and got our limits of two fish each pretty quickly. Nice ones too, using 4" white Gulp shrimp and chartreuse swimming mullets on 1/4 oz. heads. Good thing we got em quick because the flotilla moved in on us. We accidentally hit their boat deck when casting, if that tells you how close this boat with 5 guys in it was to us. I don't like that style of combat fishing so we got out of there and let them have it.

nice fish, i need a couple flounder for the table.

Seawolf is indeed a zoo, but the fish are there thick every flounder run. have to put on your no attitude hat when fishing these type area. there's a yennie on every corner, just wave. lol when you drive into downtown houston, expect traffic. seawolf is the fisherman's equivalent. There are a lot of these type areas on Galveston, loaded up with fish, but people to. when easing into these areas, I put on my anything goes hat, and take a chill pill.

Yeah screw that there are alot of other places to catch flounder. One of my spots yielded 2 large flatties in the cast net and I wasn't even fishing for.them, was catching mullet. I can't fish in those conditions but glad you got your fish!
