Mulch

Do any of you gardeners use pine needles as mulch?

I saw where Dick Hanks recommended it and have never tried it. For that matter I have never mulched my garden and am sure it would be beneficial in more ways than one.

One thing for sure is I have plenty of pine needles.

Any advice on mulching?

Well at least you won't be introducing termites with pine needles.

Yes.... I use as much local tree leaves and pine needles I can ..... i then top with a natural mulch for looks...

Mulch should never have termites......since its one stage from compost the microbes don’t allow termites to thrive like good solid wood.

Just don’t use dyed red or black mulch ..... it causes more issues and messes up the soil balance ....

I’m using a double ground natural mulch on mine

Here is a good read
