Cataracts are caused by your lifetime exposure to bright conditions. You have the sun from above and the glare off the water it is exponential.

You have no issue setting up a $500+ rod and reel cuz you know you will use it.

Or a $1000+ guitar....

Without your eyes you can light all your musical stuff and all your outdoor gear on fire. Get prescription sunglasses.... yesterday. Sell everything you own if necessary.... it's the most in important gear right now while you still have sight.

Mr. Steven never fails to make a point...

I could deal with the Raybans like c hook mentioned. I'd LOVE to have the same Costa's I did with my prescription, but they are just ridiculously expensive. I'll have to give those Raybans a look

Haha yep! I put over a grand into my Gibson LP, my US Fender jazz bass I got for a good deal for $700.. Marshall amp, Ampeg bass amp, it gets expensive! and of course, I spent stupid money a few years ago on rod/reels. I haven't bought a new rod or reel since then though. I have what I need and want

it's no rayban or costa but you can get RX polarized sunglasses for $60-80. I quit messing with contacts 10 yrs ago and have ordered dozens of eyeglasses and sunglasses from Zenni. The quality is decent and pair of $30 eye glasses last me about a year.

If your distance vision needs correction, and then you get old and can't see up close, it's worth looking at some of the newer multi-focal contact lenses. Many are very comfortable, can be left in for days, and get around the need for readers or bifocals. Definitely a plus when you need to see to tie a knot, and sunglasses are not an issue.

I just bought a pair of prescription Ray-Ban from GlassesUSA for $310 shipped. Predator 2 frames, gray polarized, progressive Rx. They also carry Costa frames. The Same thing in Costa Harpoon frames would be $365. Still pricey but not as bad as $600 from Costa or eye store.

tarpon amazon or net

I'd recommend getting a part number from the glasses (frames) you like, then go online and find them. fishing without glasses is the equivalent of fishing without a pole. i'd probably cancel my trip and go home, if i'd forgotten them.
