Abu Garcia 7000 c3 line tension stopped working

I came back yesterday from my fishing trip and decided to fiddle with this reel, as I kept throwing bird nests. i mean constant ones, i cast and there was a "ding" coming from the last guide as if it was hitting a knot, but it was new braided line, i inspected it carefully etc. i played with spool centrifugal brakes and with a tension control but alas, i retired that rod for that day.

well anyway, back to the story, i didint do anything to it haven't even dismantled it yet, because i lost the diagram, but now it line tension knob doesnt work at all. i tighten it like a bottle cap with no resistance at all, just screws in tightly without any play for tweaking and it doesnt put any tension on the spool ;/ i checked my another 7000 (not c3) everything is the same, no missing parts, mostly because there aren't any, just a little thingy inside the cap, which is present on c3 too.

any ideas?

There is a lil bronze/brass flat piece in the cap. They wear out along with a tiny immeasurable bit of wear on the spool shaft. Sometimes you need an additional wear plate inside that cap to take up the space. Also is their a second "tension" knob on the opposite side? Use these two in conjunction to center the spool. (Some models that opposite side plate doesnt have it but rather has a bushing/bearing)

it does have palm spool tension. but the issue is that the main one near the handle is not working. it seems whole reel is itsy bitsy off alignment. and the palm spool does too much breaking, i barely need to screw the cap on for it to start working, while the other - main tension knob, just screws up and dont even touch the spool.

i just finished dismantling them both. everything is the same, just one is how i described above a little off... maybe 1mm. did i drop it? ;/ probably will have to send back to abu garcia factory for repairs. been to FTU they said 2month waiting time.
