There is a ramp in Fulton but not much parking and you have to cross Aransas Bay to go to the fishing spots. Either Goose Island to fish Copano, St. Charles and northern end of Aransas Bay, or Cove Harbor to fish south end of Aransas Bay and Estes Flats. There is a good bait shop under Paradise key restaurant at Cove Harbor. There are also bait shops in Fulton north of Charlotte Plummer's, and a bait shop on the north side of the big bridge going to Goose Island. Check out Tackle Town - great local tackle store.

Not to hijack the mans thread, but I also have a early Oct rockport trip set up with a house in "city by the sea", any tips on staging/fishing from from that area would he greatly appreciated. I've never been to Rockport and will have inexperienced family members fishing from a 2310 Ranger Bay.

Ranger2310, you may have to be careful in the flats with your boat depending on the tides in October. You can easily fish the bay side of Trailer Island, the bay side and south point of Mud Island, point of Allen's Bight and the San Jose Island shoreline with your boat. You can also go south and fish the outside of Ransom and Dagger Islands and go even farther to fish the reef at East Flats and the shoreline to the south. These can all be good with a normal SE wind. If we get a front and have a north wind you will have to make adjustments. Fun restaurants to get to by boat in your area are Paradise Key to the north and Mickey's to the south. Both near the ICW so you don't have to cross any rough water. Best hamburgers and great fried seafood at Shempy's (BYOB) just a couple miles north of you on the west side of Hwy 35. You can get bait at Paradise Key bait stand or at Conn Brown Harbor to the south.

Yes, the area where you are staying has lots of shallow flats, especially if it's a lower tide. Alot will depend on the winds, but I would venture to the San Jose shoreline if possible, lots of options there. Or trailer it to the Copano ramp by the causeway, if weather permits, drifting the many reefs in Copano should be productive then. Anything over 15 mph wipes that out though.
