tarpon ????

Koch Industries has a different agenda. The Koch brothers bought their first oil refinery here in 1981. They bought their second, next to Hillcrest, in 1995. They also own pipelines, oil storage tanks, and a dock in neighboring Ingleside. Despite a history of federal indictments for dumping toxins into the air and waterways of Corpus Christi, the Koch brothers have made a fortune from their refineries over the last three decades. With a sophisticated public relations team and millions spent lobbying Congress, local politicians and state lawmakers, they’ve benefited from lax environmental regulation and tax incentives and exemptions, while their refineries’ neighbors are mired in illness and poverty.

it's all down the coast, google Baffin Bay/pesticides and the rest.

Seriously.....

Are you trying to suggest the waters around Galveston Bay, Texas City Dike, and in front of the Formosa plant on Lavaca Bay are the same as the waters off of the ANWR? Simple water testing would show that to be wrong. You keep eating Galveston trout and no crabs and I’ll keep enjoying the cleaner stuff.

so i'm confused............on one part of TPWD's it says.....

"How much of Galveston Bay is affected by the Advisory?

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has issued an advisory recommending limited consumption of spotted seatrout (speckled trout) and all catfish species in Galveston Bay. This advisory includes the following minor bays associated with the Galveston Bay system: Trinity Bay, Upper and Lower Galveston Bay, East Bay, West Bay, Chocolate Bay and contiguous waters. Fishing advisories, bans, and questions about Bodies of Water -seafood and aquatic life can be found at http://www.dshs.texas.gov/seafood/advisories-bans.aspx"

then the advisory reads as follows, leading me to think there is no advisory for speckled trout in say west bay for example or any contiguous water body..........

Looks like for the bulk of the bay except the upper ship channel area it's just catfish that’s under an advisory. Trout get into the mix above Red Bluff.

obviously some is worse then others. all i'm saying is none of it is clean period, but if you have convinced yourself it is, that's all that really matters.
