Great day teal hunting

This morning was a great day to teal hunt on the west side of town near Needville. We caught the birds moving between the thundershowers and it paid off. Hoping Saturday will be the same once this tropical storm passes. How’d everyone else fare?

Wow, 5 hunts and limited out on all is doing pretty well for this year considering the conditions we’ve had. Where are you hunting?

Ya, it’s a Boykin. It’s my hunting buddy’s dog. He’s from South Carolina and that’s what they run over there. Name: 69C3C342-3E9A-44F6-954F-09E6CA7D0FAC_1569033908767.jpeg

Absolutely fantastic dogs for Texas. My female boykin picks up about 1000 doves, 1000 ducks, and maybe 150 geese a year. And excellent family dog.

Will be breeding mine on her next cycle in January. Pops next spring!

Teal hunting was great again today. We hunted just north of East Bernard and the birds were actually working. We were able to get them into a 20 yard hole we set up using the decoys and slaughtered them.
