tarpon normalcy

I guess galvetraz being 1/2 fresh year round is the new norm. our predominant SE wind went away and was replaced with a SW a few years back. and now this, so fresh water with a SW wind is the new normal around here. i might take up crabbing with chicken necks, do crabs live in fresh water???

Heck yeah they love freshwater but buy a half dozen traps. You will keep all of your friends, family and neighbors happy keeping them stocked up with fresh crabs.

Then they will do nice things like leave 6 packs of beer in your man cave fridge.

And I agree the weather has been "weird" for the last few years...

tarpon right

Hey It's catchy that's a lot of work. I've watched many crabbers working a shoreline, they don't mess around. i might be better served buying them. i'll be contacting you soon, thinking on trying some BBQ crab. the one time i had them, they were incredible.

Bastrop Bayou was flowing like the frikin Guadalupe last night. The new normal is about the time things start shaping up there's another dadgum deluge. Been in that pattern about the last 5-6 years....crazy.

Yep, rain again... This could have been worse than it is though.. we'll just have to wait and see a couple days to see the totals of where they fell and where.
