Won't find that at surfside. Matty is easy fishing just find some mud and shell. SS is hit or miss.

This is what it looks like when the tide is out. You can't see any of this during normal tides.

I start with a bag of seasoned Louisiana Fish Fry, add a sleeve of crushed up ritz crackers, some seafood magic, lemon pepper, old bay, Tony's, and a 1/4 cup of sugar. The sugar makes all the difference in the world. I mix egg and milk to dip the fish in, then dip it in my dry mix. Fry at 375 until it floats or it's golden brown.
P.S.
The fish from Galveston Bay won't float because of all the Mercury and other contaminates, so just watch for the color.
