POC question/bet

I need the board to settle a bet about the name of 2 flats. Neither are secret places at all:

City Slickers - the exposed sand flat as you leave Big Bayou headed toward Pass Cavallo

The Cedars - not sure the exact location but generally the shoreline area between Pass Cavallo and the big jetties

Correct or no?

Money time

Two areas I rarely fish anymore but knew them well from my younger days. He thinks the Hump is City Slickers (a lot of folks are confused on that) and the Cedars is between the big jetties and airport flats.

Just made a C-note!

Yep. During ONE afternoon session in the late 1980's I lost 2 limits of trout to the man in the gray suit. The first was about 4 ft and just popped the stringer off me - no big deal. Chalked it up to bad luck, got a spare stringer from the boat and kept fishing. Several hours later I'm back in the game with 9 more fish when his big brother came along and proceded to chew his way up my stringer before I could untie it.

After that I never tied myself to another stringer and decided it was time to find some new areas to fish - haven't been back since.

When we were growing up, we called the flats between Big Bayou and Saluria the Coast Guard Flats. The Cedars was the area between the groups of houses where the cedar trees are. There used to be a barn-like structure there. The Hump is between the Coastguard flats and the Cedars. The Middle Grounds is where the tip of Decros is now. Some people call the Hump the Middle Grounds.

You use to know Decros Point at Pass Cavallo as the Middle Grounds? The only Middle Grounds I've ever known is up near Greens & Cottons.
