Yamaha 250 4 stroke

I have to say that I am incredibly impressed with my yammaslammy!!! I have put 240 hrs on it so far and it just humms like a kitten. Quiet, powerful and from what I hear and have expereinced the warranty is top notch. I have had 1 small problem so far and it was just a clogged filter but they took care of it like a great company does even though it might not have even been their problem at all. This is my second yamaha. My first one never had 1 problem for the 5 years I owned it. Absolutely nothing. My last evinrude was fine for 3 years and then it was nothing but problems. I am definitely a yamaha customer from now on!!

Hopefully in a year or 2 they will have the kinks (if any) worked out and then it will be time for me to get a new one. I assume they are making a saltwater version?

all yamaha motors are saltwater motors. They have had the SHO technology for a few years now so that when they released the motors it would be kink free unlike the etecs and verados.

Last few bass tournaments I went to, there was nothing but Yamaha and Mercury.

What in the world did Johnson/ Evinrude do?

(knocking on the wooden desk as I type) Love my Yamaha 4-stroke....! I had to do a "double-take" to make sure engine was running the first time I had the engine on the water. My engine is a '06 and plan on repowering with the SHO in the near future.
