Marine Grade Auio Wires

Is there really a difference in Marine Grade Audio Wire vs the Car Audio Wire and is it necessary?

Main concern is the 8 gauge amp kit. I have a spare kit at home that's good quality but not marine. Trying to do it right the first time so I have no issue getting the marine kit but if you stereo gurus says its not needed then ill just go with the kit I have at home.

You can use regular speaker wire, but don't expect it to last more than a year or two before issues begin. If you want to do it right in a saltwater environment - use marine tinned copper wire. Make sure all connections are treated or sealed if you want to ward off the goblins.

I like the marine grade adhesive lined heat-shrink and then cover it with liquid electric tape for all connections.

X2... if you are trying to do it right, that's the way to go.
