Freeport tomorrow...

Anyone going out of Freeport tomorrow? The day will start cold; but it will be great by mid morning...I think.
I am going with the wife and I am undecided where to go. Any ideas?

Weather was perfect. It was smooth and the the temperature was great. Went 1 for 1 on swordfish and caught a few nice mahi around a 55 gallon drum out past the East Gardens. Was a perfect day on the water.

Not much of a Fishing day. Walked up late. Left Freeport Marina around 10:30, arrived to tall Rock around 11:30. Rigged one outrigger and trolled with 5 lines for about 2 hours with no takers.
Got a line down a few times and each time got back very large snappers, not even at the middle of the column. By 2 pm headed back to port with nothing to show.
There were another 5 boats in the area. I wonder if someone else caught anything other than snaps.
Are the kings gone by now? Water temp I understand was in the 70’s.

In Port A fished Texas waters. Three good snaps and had three pigs (or something else but acted like snaps) that we couldn't turn and cut us off. One undersize ling. Beautiful day - kinda choppy going out but laid down and 30+ mph coming in.

We went 3 for 4 on swords.

Killed one and released a couple.

The guy in the pics is on a mission to catch all the billfish species in the world. He chose us for his sword and I was honored to be a part of his journey. All he has left now is a striped marlin and his quest will be completed, but he did say that he was coming back for more swords as soon as he could.

We made it out on Sunday. Perfect weather with some light chop. Finally crossed off some firsts for deep dropping (our first tiles & grouper).
