< 100 Mile Over-Nighter

Not including trips to the floaters, or 100+ mile runs, how many of you make shorter, less than 100 mile, over night trips?

Know guys that do, fish swords at night at 70-80. Go out, troll all day and stay out for swords then get the morning troll on and head in. I’d prefer that over floaters

For me it's all about slow boating out at night so that you can be on the fishing grounds at dawn. It doesn't matter if the fishing ground are at the shelf or 50 miles. Plus you get to save some fuel that way.

But I'm not sure I'd do it if there aren't good places to sleep the people not on watch.

a bean bag under the stars on a calm night makes for a great evening-with a little fishing as a bonus

I have overnighted offshore from the Vancouver Liberty ship all the way to Hoover and many spots in between. Most of my overnights have been inside 100 miles and had many very productive nights of fishing. Nothing beats a big YFT at night though, which generally means you're past 100 miles.

CP3 is a Landlubber (+10 to -10)
A few overnighters this summer all inside 100 miles. As another poster said, bean bag under the star and a little fishing as a bonus.
